Which engine should I get?
One of the most commonly asked questions is about the powertrain. In total there are four engine options for the Chevrolet Silverado, and that includes a 3.0L Turbo Duramax 6-cylinder diesel with 305 horsepower and 495 lb.-ft. of torque output. There’s also the 5.3L EcoTec V8 engine, which generates up to 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque. Additionally, the TurboMax iteration can produce up to 310 horsepower and 430 lb.-ft. of torque. Lastly, there’s a second EcoTec3 V8 option that rounds out the four engines. The Duramax is described as one of the most reliable, with rare mechanical problems.
Is the 2026 Silverado all-new, or a refresh?
It’s a refresh rather than a redesign. 2026 is the Silverado’s eighth year in this generation, so you can be confident that the model has been well tested for your Arlington drives. Updates for 2026 include new colors, a dealer-installed Realtree package, a revised exhaust sound, and changes to the Super Cruise system.
How many trims/configurations are there?
In total you can pick from nine unique trim models for the 2026 Chevrolet Silverado, and more broadly nine different trims, four engines, and three cab configurations across the range. The Regular Cab seats three passengers while Double Cab and Crew Cab both seat five to six people including the driver. The WT is the base, fleet-oriented trim with a regular cab. Custom and RST each offer double cab, while the LT, LTZ, High Country, ZR2, and ZR2 Bison all have Crew Cab.

The WT trim starts in the high-$30,000s, with higher trims running into the $60,000–$70,000 range depending on options.
Is there an electric version?
Yes — the Silverado EV is sold alongside the gas and diesel lineup. It can tow up to 12,500 lbs.<sup>1</sup>, go 0-60 mph in under 4.5 seconds<sup>2</sup>, and offers up to 493 miles of range<sup>3</sup> in its longest-range configuration.
What are the dimensions and color options?
You can expect the Silverado to take up quite a lot of space since it is 210.94 inches long, 81.14 inches wide, and 75.70 inches tall at its smallest. With the Crew Cab, this goes to 241.41, 81.24, and 75.40 inches in length, width, and height respectively. As for color options, you’ll find White Sands<sup>4</sup>, Red Hot, Summit White<sup>4</sup>, Black, Cypress Gray<sup>4</sup>, and Riptide Blue Metallic<sup>4</sup>.
